So, who would have thought that I'd be the "camping-type?"  I grew up at my family cabin and have always enjoyed the outdoors but I also really enjoy bathing, hot coffee & a dry bed to sleep in.  When my husband talked about his favorite childhood memories camping, I started to get nervous about the awkward conversation I'd have to have about me not really looking forward to it.  To my surprise we were able to find a compromise~ our travel trailer!  

Last summer we purchased our travel trailer to accommodate my wants & needs.  We have a 2.5 year old son & a great dane...we travel with baggage!  With a bathtub for de-sanding after the beach, a large couch for the dog, a kitchen for my constant-eating habit and lots of storage for toys, outdoor activities and dog food- this was a dream come true for me!  I now refer to it as "The Fun Box" or "Glamping" (glamorous camping)  and it's quickly becoming a favorite thing to do when I'm not busy (rare but it happens!)  

I was asked to shoot a wedding with my friend Christina, with Electric Lime Photography, in Rochester this past weekend.  What a great opportunity to check out southern MN and get some much-needed time away!  

We found an awesome campsite at Bluff Valley Campground, and I highly recommend site #209 :)  

I've been challenging myself to take more "non-scheduled" photos, especially with my family and doing things we love.  Here's what I came up with this past weekend...  

Enjoy life. Slow down. Unplug. (This does not mean you have to sleep on the ground or use an outhouse!)
